Seashells Scarborough has advised of extensive works taking place opposite the property which are expected to be completed by 31 March 2018. As part of the Scarborough Beach redevelopment, an outdoor pool is being constructed on the foreshore across from Seashells. The main excavation and drainage earthworks have been completed and the project is moving into the construction phase. Construction of the pool is scheduled to be complete by late 2017 with the facility to be open to the public in early 2018. Beachfront apartments still enjoy ocean views however do overlook fenced construction works. Some daytime noise may be experienced and there is diverted beachfront access. Guests can still easily access the property and private parking. Work will take place from Monday to Saturday between 7:00am and 7:00pm with no noise restrictions in place.
